Hi Edward,
I have just subscribed to your ezine and really like your style.
Your web site and ideas are inspiring. I only spent a few minutes looking
through your site before deciding to join. Right from the start I had this
feeling I was about to embark on a long term association and, for the
first time, I am actually looking forward to receiving a newsletter.
I have signed up to a few in
the past and often forgot where or why I subscribed. Not this time, your
enthusiasm is infectious, well done.
Why am I so enthusiastic ?
I agree with your views of helping people (really enjoyed the 'Charles
Schultz Philosophy') and have tried to create a web site along these lines
myself. Compared to your site mine is small but your site is exactly what
I had hoped mine to be.
Your site is like looking at
my own dream fulfilled............I am envious........ not jealous, that's
not nice............but really envious.
I have found people on the
Net just do not want to communicate and work together, maybe you have
found different and it is perhaps something I am doing wrong. My site has
tried to develop this message of teamwork but very few seem interested.
I know you must be very busy and it must be time consuming to answer
e-mails from your many members but if you do get the chance it would be
good to hear from you Edward.
If you are interested in how
my views are similar to yours and how I have tried to create my web site
around these views I will send you my URL at your request. I will not put
it here, now, as I do not want to give the impression of trying to promote
to you.
There is probably little, if
anything, on my site that you are not already aware of anyway. Also I am
in the process of changing direction and leaving one of the programs
promoted there so there would be little point in trying to use my site to
promote to you.
If you are interested
though, in our shared views and how I tried to build around these
concepts, please mail me and I will send you my
URL.
Keep up the good work Edward and I am sure I am going to benefit a great
deal from your eZine and site in general.
Thanks
Paul

Hi Ed,
I just wanted to take the time to thank you again for
all your help. I was very surprised to receive your
reply so quickly and your offer to call me (on your
dime) was a real shocker! It was a great honor to
speak with you.
Although I did not mention this to you, I have tried
to contact a couple of other marketers for advice.
Not one of them would give me the time of day! Even
though they place an offer to help on their site, the
only thing they really want is for me to buy whatever
they are selling. So in reply they send an automatic
response with links to "Order here for your answers."
Now I want to give credit where it is due. One in
particular, did reply to my request for help with a
very long boring response which basically said: I am
sorry that I can not help you because I am too busy...
For the time it took to write why my request for help
was impossible, my question could have been answered.
With all the hype and scams on the Internet today, it
is very encouraging to find someone who actually backs
up what they post on their site. Not only did you
answer my questions, you advised me on things that I
had not even thought about!
Having spent so much time working on my project, I
felt like it was all in vain. I was ready to take a
hammer (a very big one) to my computer! But thank God,
I found your site and received your gracious help, so
now my hope is restored! I will never be able to thank
you enough for taking the time to help me and give
your expert advice.
I am working hard to redo everything as to your
suggestions. I will let you know when I'm done.
Thank you again and God bless you for your willingness
to help.
Best Wishes,
Sherry Hudson

Edward,
Just wanted to let
you know I've been thoroughly enjoying your website and emails.
I'm on lots of e-biz marketing newsletter lists and yours is
honestly the only one I actually look forward to reading. I even
have a similar "haircut"!
I really applaud your attitude, "those who help the most win". I
have found it to be true myself. Just wanted to give you a bit of
encouragement. People out here really appreciate what you are
doing. It's certainly helping us with our new website business.
Thanks again, and God Bless!

Hello Edward,
I just had to drop you a note to tell you that you have the BEST ezine on
the web.
I'm not even considering the useful tools you have, just being you makes
it fun to read.
Today's ezines hit the nail on the head with me. I'm in so many programs
that I don't even know all that I am in.
You always make me feel like you're talking to me personally and not a
whole bunch of folks.
Keep up the good work.
Sheila
Edward,
You do indeed tell it like it is. Few dare to even try. But I have never
seen an ezine as up front as yours. I love your warning. Prevents the
complaints from coming later.

Dear Edward,
First off, you are the only ezine that I subscribe to, why? You
are the only one that doesn't sugar coat the truth, you don't try
to hide the facts of what it actually takes to make it online.
I have been working on and off online for about 6 years now. I
have discovered one very basic fact of making it. Traffic. Online
marketing is a numbers game. It is much like telemarketing, you
reach enough people eventually you will reach the right ones.
I always enjoy your ezine and look forward to each issue. Please
keep up the good work. My prayer is that you will always find the
sun even when it is hiding, for those who look for it can always
find it.
Thanks!!!

Hi Ed,
Great changes! You've just
made your site one of the most valuable resources on the Web. I don't know
when I'm going to have time to read everything you've got, there, but
believe me, I'm going to try to find the time.
Thanks, very much, for the exposure you've given us (Perfect Text and me)
in your Reader's Site Tent. The way you laid out the page has given me
some good ideas for my planned site redesign.
I'm going to be building a new page for my site in order to promote the
newsletters and e-zines I really like. Yours, of course, is one of them,
so I'll be contacting you in the near future for your help in assembling
some additional information about you, your Web site and your e-zine.
Thanks, again, Ed. Have a great weekend.

Hey Edward,
Just a quick note to say thanks. I subscribed to your ezine months ago and
you even included my website on your listing. Just wanted to say thanks.
I've subscribed to several
ezines and have deleted them all except yours. I usually scour over yours
since I always find something interesting and helpful.
I haven't found success yet,
but I'll get there one day.
I guess it's all about
persistence.
Thanks,
Richard
Hi, Edward!
Just wanted to introduce myself as a new subscriber, and also let you know
how delighted I am by your e-zine.
I actually got signed up for
it by accident, but it looks as though this will be a subscription I don't
unsubscribe from.
Just from spending about 30
minutes on your site I learned several valuable internet marketing tips -
I still have a long way to go before any of my ventures are successful,
but I felt you were sincere in your statement that you are here to help
us.
It's kind of refreshing to
have someone genuine behind my endeavors - I'm so used to dealing w/
people who only want you to sign up for whatever program they're selling.
Anyway, looking forward to
getting my newsletters. Keep up the good work!

Good morning,
Lots of interesting ideas in your ezine this morning. Very insightful and
thought provoking. I certainly hope you are not right about the email
marketing but I think you are right and that time is coming.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and making your ezine such a pleasure
to read and a great learning experience. I hope the new layout works well
for you.
Sincerely,

Dear Edward,
I just wanted to personally drop you a line and thank you for recommending
myself and my business to (Customer Name). We do, indeed, have a contract
with him now.
You always remain one of my favorite newsletter publishers, and I see that
you stand by your words, which always means a lot to me.
On a lighter note, I have published my own ezine (first issue Sept. 15 (I
hope) and would love if you would accept one and give me your comments.
Because of your kindness, there is a section devoted to you, so it should
be entertaining reading for you.
I don't know if you remember our previous conversations, but I was a
"reluctant entrepreneur", and after our conversation, I reinvented myself
as such and am now quite popular for my advice as "Katheryn Labosky, The
Reluctant Entrepreneur". Thought you would enjoy that!
Sincerely,
Katheryn Labosky

My newsletter will include marketing advice, writing advice, a questions
section, a program for ezine articles, called "Name Your Subject, Name
Your Price" and for a little difference, a "Try It Before You Buy It"
section, in which I purchase one affiliate program each month and try it,
then rate it.
Its called "The Reluctant Entrepreneur" and is produced by Written-Solutions.com,
with publishing done by KLR Marketing Services (this is already my third
reincarnation). Gives consumers a look at what they would get if they go
with certain programs.

Ed;
You're not a hustler. Hustlers don't piss people off by speaking
truth.
Never once did you say that making a living online is easy or that
anyone was going to get rich fast and without work.
Hustlers don't waste time getting to know people and their focus
isn't "He that helps the most people wins." I think that you and I
have at least one thing in common; I would not hustle anyone for
any reason and I doubt that I could even if I tried.
I sold pest control contracts for Truly Nolen in the Orlando area
and, despite a ferociously competitive market, I did OK. I refused
to sell people services that weren't appropriate for their needs
and I refused to lie to them about anything.
I was told by another salesman that I wouldn't make a penny with
my approach (he was a hustler).
Much to my surprise, the same people that I refused to sell,
called me back when they were either unhappy with the services
from a competitor or they needed additional services.
I also got referrals without asking for them. Most of my business
was from referrals, not from cold-calling or from call-ins.
The hustler was fired.
Unfortunately for him, the sales manager was a very honest man. I
could have worked 7 days a week. Instead, I gave leads to new
sales people or to service people that I knew would do a good job.
That turned out to be one of the most fun jobs that I've ever had.
The sales manager asked me why I had applied for a job with Truly
Nolen: I HAD to have one of those bright yellow Datsuns with ears,
whiskers and a tail (like a mouse). The ears were spring-loaded
and popped up when the car stopped.
I have looked at Ken Evoy's site sell and looked at the sample
sites and actual working web pages. When I dive into this, I will
sign up from your site so that you will get the affiliate pay. You
earned it and more.
Thanks Ed and Peace.

Loved the introductory

unsuitable for most of the stiff upper lip, lets keep this formal brits.
Don't change it one little bit. If they don't have a sense of humour they
won't be good internet marketers.

Ed,
I was just reading one of your newsletters and was going to write to say I
enjoy your writing so much.
You are so honest and blunt and yet nice and fair. I love that little
edginess. Like a polite bully who doesn't just march up and say, "I'm
gonna kick your ass".
Not you. It's, "Pardon me, friend, do you mind very much if I kick your
ass?" Just an enjoyable read where you even end up learning a thing or
two!

Dear Edward,
I lost the newsletter with the article on Mary Kay Ash. I meant to send it

Thank you in advance for your trouble. ( See, I know you're gonna send me

Edward,
You truly were at your beast, I mean best this last newsletter!
Your metaphor article was wonderful. You started out with the old chestnut
about fishing and really re-worked it into a great article. An article, I
may add, which would be widely circulated if you sent it out via yahoo
groups!

Hello Lazy Dude!
I can't believe you are really lazy....You just created a marvelous ezine.
I LOVE the new format and the colors make it a much easier and more
pleasant ezine to read.
Guess your competition will have a few four letter words to sling at you.
Now they'll have to do the same in order to rank "up there" with you.
Thank you so much for the wonderful information in your ezines and
especially now ...the COLOR...my "OLD" eyes appreciate it!
Sincerely - Gail Winters
Hi Edward,
"I really liked your ezine and it was great to see my tips there with the
"stamp of approval" from you. Feel free to do that again if you feel like
it. It felt so nice to see my name printed in someone else's ezine!
I like your writing style too. Someone else from the group said that -
can't remember but it might have been Don - and I quite agree with him!"

Hey edward,
Dang! Again you had me rolling with your story in today's issue.
And I find myself hanging on your next words.
Really, NO writer has done that for me. I usually pack up my bags and
leave after the first paragraph or two. But you're downright consistent
with holding my interest.
You know, I rarely read e-zines, but your story about the telemarketing
and sales really grabbed me. Maybe because I used to do phone sales.
Or maybe you're just a brilliant writer that really knows how to spin a
tale.

Hi Edward,
Just finished another back issue of "Home Grown". Had to have something to
tide me over until the next issue.
I get so tired of all the Guru hype on the Net, I just have to have a fix
of your no bull, straight up information to get through the day.
As far as your motto, "He Who Helps The Most People... WINS", you've
already won, hands down! You can take a break now.
No one but another Newbie like myself could really appreciate the personal
guidance and direction that you have given me. Further, every new friend I
make on the Net sends me to you because "this is the person who helped me
get where I am." Do you have more hours in your day that the rest of us?
You are absolutely wonderful in my book. If I could get a lifetime
subscription I'd be buying now.
